COVID-19 Vaccinations

The industry leader in terms of LTC pharmacy participation in phase one of the COVID-19 vaccination program, PharmScript was 100% committed to the mission of vaccinating the LTC community from the very start. Before there were answers to so many of the COVID vaccine-related questions, PharmScript leadership took a leap of faith and began assembling a task force, getting team members licensed for immunizing, building the financial infrastructure to support their teams and their facility customers, and more as they prepared to execute the (completely new and unknown) plan.
Their focus? To ensure health and safety efforts, organizational stability, and continued agility as they worked to provide over 150,000 doses of vaccinations across 24 states.

Mindy Ferris, RPh
Executive Vice President of Operations & Customer Success at PharmScript
Mindy Ferris joined PharmScript in 2017 as Executive Vice President of Pharmacy Operations.
Prior to joining PharmScript, Mindy was Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for Partners Pharmacy and was responsible for all day-to-day operations throughout the company. Prior to her position with Partners Pharmacy, Mindy was Vice President of Operations and Principal with Pharmacy Systems, a hospital-based pharmacy management company servicing the Midwest. During this time, she served as a member of the Ohio Board of Pharmacy.
Mindy started her career with Omnicare, Inc. serving in various roles of progressive responsibility. Mindy culminated her 19-year tenure with Omnicare as Senior Vice President of Pharmacy Operations.
Mindy holds a Bachelor of Science in pharmacy from Ohio Northern University and is a registered pharmacist in multiple states including Ohio, North Carolina and Virginia.
Alex Black, PharmD
Director of Pharmacy Infrasctructure at PharmScript
Alex Black joined PharmScript in the summer of 2019 as Director of Controlled Substances and now serves as the Director of Pharmacy Infrastructure Operations. In his role, Alex manages operational compliance and performance for controlled substance laws and regulations, inventory management, assets protection, and environmental health safety and security.
Alex started his career as a manager in the retail pharmacy setting. Prior to joining PharmScript, Alex worked for the Department of Veterans Affairs as a clinical pharmacist and then managed controlled substance regulatory compliance for the Eastern Colorado Healthcare System.
Alex holds a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Ohio Northern University.
