The global COVID-19 pandemic has severely impacted the long-term care industry, with seniors representing over 34% of related deaths. Since the first COVID-19 vaccines became available in the US in mid-December, over 4.8 million LTC residents have received at least one dose of vaccine. The coordinated effort to deploy the vaccine across the nation continues, with pharmacy providers leading the way.
Early COVID-19 vaccinators and adopters of FrameworkLTC Vaccine Management, ALPS Pharmacy, Managed Health Solutions, and Medication Management Partners have collectively administered 24,000+ vaccinations in the long-term care setting.

Leah Gregory has 5+ years of experience in clinical consulting pharmacy for long term care (LTC) facilities. Leah is a pharmacist partner to 800 beds in rural Southwest Missouri.
Mahmoud Zegar, PharmD
Operations Manager, Medication Management Partners
Mahmoud Zegar has over 15 years of pharmacy operations experience in retail and LTC pharmacies. In addition to his role at MMP, Mahmoud serves as an adjunct faculty member for the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Pharmacy and Midwestern University.
Charles Platz, RPh
President, Managed Health Solutions
Charles Platz has extensive knowledge and experience in the practice of pharmacy. He currently serves as President and CEO of Managed Health Solutions, LLC. MHS Rx serves the medication needs of the elderly, disabled, and the recovering throughout Georgia. Managed Health Solutions was acquired from the Kroger Company in December of 2014 and was the Kroger Atlanta long term care pharmacy operation. Mr. Platz started his career in Hospital Pharmacy, has owned and operated multiple independent pharmacies, was a regional pharmacy manager of the retail chain Drug Emporium, and has for over 20 years owned and operated a Prescription Benefit Management Consulting company, Prescription Verification Services.
